“Simply unique”
Mulhouse museums
Once an industrial capital, Mulhouse has become a city of technical museums unique in Europe. The Cité de l’Automobile displays the legendary Schlumpf collection, the largest car collection in the world, with numerous Bugattis. The Cité du Train, Europe’s largest railway museum, traces nearly two centuries of rail history, from the first steam locomotives to the TGV.
The Museum of Printed Textiles recalls the town’s textile past, and the Fine Arts Museum rounds off the offer. A few kilometres away, in Rixheim, the Wallpaper Museum is also well worth a visit. Enough to fill several days, with family or friends.
