‹ Cultural Colmar: the must-see museums
Toy Museum
At 40 Rue Vauban, in a former neighbourhood cinema in the centre of Colmar, the Toy Museum opened its doors in 1993. Over three levels, it displays more than a thousand toys from the 19th century to the present day: dolls, teddy bears, board games, figurines, scientific toys and early video game consoles.
Trains take pride of place, with a large model railway that delights children and nostalgic grown-ups alike. Temporary exhibitions and activities regularly refresh the visit.
Good to know: an ideal family outing, and a good idea on rainy days. The museum is included in the Colmar City Pass.
