Hansi Museum

At 28 Rue des Têtes, opposite the famous Maison des Têtes, the Hansi Village and Museum pays tribute to Jean-Jacques Waltz, known as Hansi (1873-1951). Born in Colmar, the illustrator shaped the popular image of Alsace: children in traditional costume, storks, flower-filled villages and half-timbered houses.

The museum brings together his watercolours, etchings, advertising posters, postcards and illustrated books, in a reconstructed Alsatian village. The visit continues in the shop, which offers reproductions of his work.

Good to know: the museum is accessible by lift and is included in the Colmar City Pass.
